Julianne Moore looked sensational as she attended the second annual Albie Awards in New York City at the public library on Thursday.

The Oscar nominated actress wowed in the floor length black gown as she posed alongside her husband, Bart Freundlich at the event. 

The dress featured a plunging neckline which showcased the star’s ample cleavage while the garment’s straps were adorned with gold buckle detailing. 

The Albie Awards are held by the Clooney Foundation For Justice, which bills them as being for ‘courageous defenders of justice who are at great risk for what they do.’

They were named for Justice Albie Sachs, an internationally famous South African jurist subjected to jail and then exile for his activism against the apartheid regime.

Julianne wore her auburn hair in loose curls while she completed the outfit with a large pair of chunky gold hoops. 

She was joined by her American film director husband who looked incredibly dapper for the evening. 

Bart kept it simple with a smart black suit and black tie which he paired with a white shirt underneath. 

The pair, who tied the knot with back in 2003, looked to be in good spirits as they held hands on the carpet while making their way into the event. 

The couple first crossed paths while on set of The Myth Of Fingerprints in 1996, a film that Bart had directed. That same year, the two stars began dating and later welcomed their children in 1997 and later in 2002. 

Julianne was among the star-studded line up who attended the evening as Kate Moss, Scarlott Johansson, Emily Blunt and Heidi Klum also enjoyed the event. 

Hosts George Clooney and Amal Clooney exuded megawatt Hollywood glamour as they welcomed the dazzling array of showbiz heavy hitters to their second annual Albie Awards.

This year’s honorees included a Ukrainian NGO, a Congolese anti-rape activist and the two Iranian journalists who broke the story of the killing of Mahsa Amini that ignited their country’s Woman Life Freedom uprising.

During an interview with People earlier this year in February, Julianne opened up about the secret to their long-lasting marriage.

The two lovebirds celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in August, and also share two children together: daughter Liv, 21, and son Caleb, 25. 

‘I feel happy that my marriage is thriving and intact,’ she gushed to the outlet. ‘That’s a really great thing.’

In regards to what has led the couple to have a long-lasting relationship, Moore pointed out, ‘I think you both have to want to be together. Find somebody who’s as interested in you as you are in them.’

The actress then sweetly stated, ‘Bart has always made me laugh so hard that my eyelids start to flip up. My God, does he make me laugh.’

In regards to being parents to two children, now fully grown, Julianne stated that both she and her husband, ‘support them in whatever their choices are.’
